Well, it has been done. I injured myself running. After experiencing some knee pain, I decided to go to the doctor so that I didn't end up with a stress fracture (like someone I know - hmmm) and found out that I have a strained MCL. What does this mean? No running for a week and then a wait and see what happens. I am icing like crazy and have support on my knee so that I don't injure it worse but I am thinking maybe this is a sign that I am not cut out for running. I guess only time will tell. Wish me luck that I heal fast and can get back to running. I only have 7 weeks left. Yikes!

Been there my friend...I have never been able to run outside again...I can handle the treadmill and elliptical just fine, but every time I hit the outdoors, the pain comes back...Not good!
Don't push it! Your body will tell you what you can do right now...
Ouch! I hope you get to feeling better soon! Take it easy for a while...running while hurt won't get you to 100% any faster. Maybe Wii golf instead for a few weeks. :-)
Don't push it too hard or you may be injuring more than your knee. Hang in there.
