Halloween 10K

Well - I did it! I ran my first 10K (6.2 miles) and I did it with a great friend. The race was put on by an Irish pub so needless to say the drinks were flowing early on and everyone was in great spirits. Some of the costumes were hilarious and best of all I had fun!

Before leaving the house. Do you think I had a little too much coffee already?

Check out the girl behind the "Irishman". She was a sorority girl. It was a riot!

Right after we crossed the finish line.

We got a picture with the winner of the "Best Irish Costume." Can you imagine running in that?

Macrophage Activation Syndrome

After a long struggle in the hospital and a lot of uncertainty, I have recently been diagnosed with a very rare blood disorder called MAS. I am currently receiving chemotherapy and high doses of steroids as part of my treatment. The doctors are uncertain if the end treatment will be a bone marrow transplant or not.
